what is PaCC?

The Parent Carers' Council is a parent-led forum which represents parent carers of children or young people with any condition - learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex health or mental health needs

The group was formed to enable parent carers of children with any condition to work closely together to help improve services and support. It aims to help parents get more directly involved in the strategic delivery of services for disabled children in Brighton & Hove. Parents are trained as representatives to sit alongside professionals from the local authority on strategic boards. This ensures that the parent voice is heard when decisions are made that directly affect their children.

PaCC have a steering committee that meets every two months, two co-chairs, a wider membership of over 300 parent carers and eight partner organisations
