Quality Assurance Framework and SEND Team Staff Updates

For a while now, PaCC have been holding regular meetings with Rhianedd Hughes, Head of the SEN Statutory Service at the Local Authority. The SEN Team co-ordinate the assessment, production and review of education, health and care plans or EHCP.  

As part of the SEND Strategy with the Local Authority, there has been a focus on the creation of a framework, which will look at the quality of EHCPs. As part of this framework, the SEN Team, PaCC and Amaze have been developing a survey questionnaire for families to complete to give feedback about the process. This includes feedback about the different services contributing towards the assessment and the SEN Team who administer the process. The questionnaire will be sent out soon; the feedback will be collected by Amaze and provided to services to help improve families’ experiences.  

We will update you further in a future newsletter to let you know how we are progressing with this work. 

We would also like to let you know about a SEN Team update: Jess Evans SEN Casework Manager left at the beginning of January 2022 and Roger Wardle has taken up the position with no gap in service delivery. Two new SEN Casework Officers have joined the 12-25 Team: Marian Stafford and Celia Crees. The team now has no vacancies.
