Introducing PaCC’s new Parent Carer Forum Support Worker

Name: Stef Fallows

Role within PaCC: I am the Parent Carer Forum (PCF) Support Worker for both PaCC and East Sussex Parent Carer Forum (ESPCF). My role is to support both forums with their back-office functions to enable a streamlined approach to data storage and reporting amongst other responsibilities. I am also supporting both parent carer forums specifically in areas of coproduction with Brighton & Hove / East Sussex Councils.

Parent Carer experience:  I am mum of a 9-year-old boy who has Down Syndrome and associated learning needs. He is currently in a mainstream school and enjoying life to the full.

I am heavily involved within the SEN community in Brighton & Hove. I am a parent carer volunteer at the Hangleton & Knoll coffee mornings and recently took on the role as secretary. I am part of the local T21 community in Brighton & Hove.

I have been involved in the Down Syndrome Community since my son was born, in online groups and charities nationally. I was involved in a little video called 50 mums, 50 kids, 1 extra chromosome that went viral in 2018.

I am also a befriender for Amaze, where I help to support families with their journey through SEND and help to navigate the complicated processes and provide that listening ear with no judgement.
