Secondary School Admissions Arrangements: Local Authority Response

Secondary School Admissions Arrangements: Local Authority Response

Earlier this month, PaCC released a position statement in response to the Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) engagement exercise about secondary school admissions and you can read that position statement, here.

PaCC have since met with BHCC Councillors and local authority officers to discuss our position statement and the concerns raised by parent carers. PaCC would like to share the response we received from Councillor Jacob in response to our position statement:

BHCC have since announced that they will be discussing a proposal to consult on potential changes to school admission arrangements in the city at the cabinet meeting on Thursday 5th December. You can read more about this here.

If the consultation goes ahead, PaCC will be arranging engagement activities in January for parent carers, so they can share how the proposals could impact on their child or young person with SEND.
