In November, Becky Robinson is stepping down from her PaCC Co-Chair role, having made the difficult decision to create more time to focus on her wellbeing and family.
The PaCC steering group would like to thank Becky for her dedicated contributions over the past four years, during which she has served as Vice-Chair, Chair, and Co-Chair. Many of you will know that prior to these roles, Becky represented mASCot, ensuring that the voices of families of autistic children and young people were heard.
Becky has worked tirelessly across a wide range of priorities, including education, neurodevelopment (ND), and mental health. Recent achievements include helping to shape the Principles of Belonging for education in Brighton & Hove and leading the successful delivery of the Autism in Schools and PINS programmes, to improve inclusion for neurodivergent pupils. Becky has developed strong working relationships with key leaders at Brighton & Hove City Council, NHS Sussex, and partner Parent Carer Forums, and has been a brilliant advocate for improving the ND pathway.
We thank Becky for the time she has committed to her PaCC leadership role, and for her consistent and public-facing, strengths-based approach to neurodivergence. While Becky is stepping back from the Co-Chair role, we are pleased that she will continue to support Amaze through the delivery of ND training for families. Becky has also offered to stay involved with PaCC to share her expertise in education and ND.
PaCC are putting in place interim cover arrangements, which will be shared soon.
We wish Becky all the best for the future.
