Parent carers feedback via PaCC, and national legislation have provided the information for Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC)’s officer workplan for 2026.
PaCC has asked BHCC officers to share updates with the community on the priority areas, including:
- The Local Offer Online page.
- Social Care, including Short Breaks Strategy, Short Breaks and Respite, Short Breaks Wraparound Care, Care (Emergency care), Care (Rainbow Lodge), Transition into Adult Social Care, Direct Payments Policy and Processes, Send Workforce Development Strategy.
- Education, including the Outreach offer for Children and Young People and Brighton & Hove Inclusion Service (BHISS) and Special School Outreach, the Guidance around Ordinarily Available Provision, the role of the Local Inclusion Support Offer, the Send Sufficiency programme to meet local educational needs, the Alternative Provision programme, Implementing a 3 Tier Social Emotional and Mental Health Model in the city.
