Are you a parent Carer of a young person with learning disabilities who requires day services or who will require day services when they leave full time education?
If so, you are invited to discuss the proposed closure of Wellington House Day Options Service, which currently provides support to adults with learning disabilities. We acknowledge that any changes to this service may have a considerable impact on those who use it and may raise concerns from carers and families in the city.
We are organising two consultation events, one on line and one in person, both hosted by PaCC and facilitated jointly with Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC), Adult Social Care representatives. We will provide an overview of the proposal and the associated consultation process. These sessions will allow us to gather a thorough understanding of your views and any concerns, and to hear any suggestions or ideas about the proposed change and provide an opportunity to raise questions directly with Steve Hook (Director Adult Social Care), Lou Aish (Commissioning) and Kim Foster (Consultation Lead). Councillor Mitchie Alexander will attend the face-to-face meeting only.
Please do email [email protected] to let us know you would like to attend. Here is the Teams link for the online meeting https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/323762000141166?p=VEd7CtgPnghSquw9C7
If you are unable to attend the session, please feel free to share your views with PaCC on [email protected] and we will collate these and share with BHCC.
